Pour permettre à chacun de se faire son propre avis, David Cage vient d'annoncer qu'une démo du titre est en cours de réalisation : "Nous travaillons actuellement sur une démo d'Heavy Rain, ce qui est un véritable défi. Trouver une seule scène qui donnerait un réel aperçu des qualités du titre est difficile". Il a également précisé : "Si nous proposons une scène d'action, les joueurs pourraient penser qu'il n'y aura que ça et inversement pour une scène d'exploration. Le problème est que chaque scène offre un gameplay unique et il est très difficile de faire ressortir cela dans une seule démo. Les démos sont souvent à double tranchant puisque ne pas en proposer pourrait laisser croire que nous avons quelque chose à cacher".
