-=[ Explanation ]=-

Yes we know there are a lot of different ways to rip aka backup Game Cube

discs, but sadly they are all defective. What? You had no idea!?! Unless

your are a member of a release group and are using custom dumping devices

you have probably been using 'free' solutions such as Viper Rip Multi,

GCOS Ripper and/or the Qoob BIOS and sadly these all are based on TMB INC's

IPL which indeed was the stepping stone to making this ripper a possibility.

This ripper will make one to one backups on your data so you will no longer

have to rip, rip and rerip before you get a stable ISO image. All those days

of using FSTFIX to rebuild curroupt images are over.

Wait that is not all! Not only does this ripper rip perfectly, but it also is

the fastest solution around breaking it at an average of 700KB!

-=[ Features ]=-

° Backup Images from GameCube

° TruRead Technology - Perfect 1:1 Backups

° Fastest Speed Around (Simple Lightweight UDP Protocol)

° Dedicated Windows Ripping Software

° Detects Source DVD Image Name

° Displays Software Logo Onscreen

° 100% Free!

-=[ Requirements ]=-

° GameCube Broad Band Adapter (BBA)

° Windows (200*/XP) Based PC

-=[ Usage ]=-

Run the PC Software which will say 'waiting for server' and then load the

included DOL file using any DOL loading solution.

Next the GameCube will prompt you to press 'A' then it will 'init the network'

connection and then it will ask you to insert an original DVD and again to

press 'A'. Once it reads the original it will connect to the PC Software and

will then wait until you select 'save'. You will know it is connected because

it will display the DVD ID and DVD Name on the PC Software and will display

the DVD Name and built in logo on the GameCube.

After selecting 'save' it will rip the game. If at anytime the connection is

lost between the GameCube and PC Software (network goes down, pc power is

lost or accidently close the program) the GameCube will pause and wait until

the connection is made again then will prompt you to restart the rip and will

restard the rip!

NOTE - Qoob BIOS (v0.5 - v1.3) users will have to load 'Viper Rip Multi' and

then stream the NGC DEV ripper to it because of a defect in the Qoob BIOS

DOL loading feature. We tried to hours to get around this problem, but could

not succeed. Hopefully this problem can be fixed with future Qoob BIOS

versions.

NOTE - If you are unsure on how to get a DOL loaded on your hard/softmod

please refer to the Mod That Cube -FAQ- which is the most comprehensive

collection of guides for modding the Nintendo GameCube on the Internet!

You can locate this FAQ here - http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com

-=[ Special Thanks to ]=-

brakken - a long suffering tester and all round good guy!

vimacs - You got me into this - thanks!

raz - Great gfx and web - and a cool tester!

roman - For whatever reason, the thanks section was missing from

our release of GBAEmu+, probably our rush to get it out!

-=[ 'vimacs' Protocol Technical Information ]=-

I decided to call this protocol the Vimacs Transfer Protocol.

This is in honour of the guy who got me interested in ripper

software and how it works.

Below is the protocol definition. This will enable you to write

your own GUI, port to another platform, or just tinker with a

Mini DVD!

Note all numeric values are sent / received in network byte order.

Port : 6800
