[TUTO] GT4 => DVD Double couche

**** USE THIS PATCH ONLY IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME FROM A REAL DVD9 (DVD+R DL)*****


This patch will restore the game to loading GT4L1.VOL from Layer 1....(but the PTP burn method check is removed, so it should boot fine now on a DL disc...)

**** MAKE SURE YOU APPLY THIS PATCH ON AN "UN-MODIFIED" CORE.GT4.ELF (unpacked from core.gt4)...*****

in my tutorial, at STEP 4:

1) REPLACE "“applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core.gt4.ppf”  WITH  "applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core_dvd9_ntsc.ppf"



**NOTE **:  if doing another region, ie jap/kor/pal etc...replace the patch file name "core_dvd9_ntsc.ppf" with  
    "core_dvd9_xxx.ppf", where "xxx" is your region - exampe: for JAP, the full command would be:
    "applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core_dvd9_jap.ppf"






in my tutorial, at STEP 6, part 3: (these IML files can ONLY be used for making the NTSC DVD9!! (all other regions must re-build your own IML/IMS files because the sizes from the NTSC will NOT match your region!!)

For NTSC:

2) Open up the "GT4_realdvd9_layer0.IML" instead of the GT4_HDD.iml....Hit "START"...this will create the LAYER0 ISO.

3) Open up the "GT4_realdvd9_layer1.IML" instead of the GT4_HDD.iml....Hit "START"...this will create the LAYER1 ISO.

Now burn this with whatever method you know of to get the layers to burn as they are in the ISOs...LAYER0.ISO HAS TO BURNED TO LAYER0 ON THE DL DISC, AND LAYER1.ISO HAS TO BE BURNED TO LAYER1 ON THE DL DISC!!



ie you do NOT want LAYER1.ISO to end up being split across layer 0 and 1....this LAYER1.ISO image should be 100% on Layer 1....I haven't tried to burn any DL discs yet, so I don't know how to tell you to do this!!!


*** DO NOT TRY TO APPLY THIS PATCH OVER TOP OF A CORE.GT4.ELF THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PATCHED WITH THE core.gt4.ppf ***

If you've already patched the core.gt4.elf with the original patch from the HDD kit, delete the core.gt4.elf from your hard drive, and re-extract the CORE.GT4 from your ISO, and re-do the above steps...!!!

Petite traduction perso donc pas 100% fiable

 

UTILISEZ CE PATCH UNIQUEMENT SI VOUS VOULEZ JOUER AU JEU SUR UN VRAI DVD9 (DVD+R DL)

 

Ce patch charge le GT4L1.VOL depuis la première couche...(mais le controle de la methode de gravage en PTP est enlevé )

 

SOYEZ SUR QUE VOUS APPLIQUEZ CE PATCH SUR UN CORE.GT4.ELF NON MODIFIE (décompressé du core.gt4)

 

 

Dans mon tutorial , au 4ème point:

 

1) Remplacez "“applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core.gt4.ppf” avec "applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core_dvd9_ntsc.ppf"

 

NOTE si vous avez un jeu ntsc d'une autre région (jap/kor/pal etc...) remplacer le fichier du patch nommé "core_dvd9_ntsc.ppf" par "core_dvd9_xxx.ppf", où "xxx" est la région souhaitée.exemple : pour la version JAP la commande entière sera "applyppf3 a core.gt4.elf core_dvd9_jap.ppf"

 

Dans mon tutorial, au 6 eme point,partie 3: ces fichiers IML peuvent seulement etre utilisés pour faire un dvd 9 NTSC!!(les fichiers IML/IMS de toute autre region doivent etre reconstruit vous même parce que la taille de ceux de la version NTSC ne correpondra pas a celle de votre région!!)

 

Pour la version NTSC:

 

2) Ouvrez "GT4_realdvd9_layer0.IML" au lieu de GT4_HDD.iml...Cliquez sur "START"...cela creera l'iso LAYER0

3)Ouvrez "GT4_realdvd9_layer1.IML" au lieu de GT4_HDD.iml...Cliquez sur "START"...cela ceera l'iso LAYER1

 

Maintenant gravez de n'importe quelle manière que vous connaissez pour graver les couches dans les ISO..LAYER0.ISO DOIT ETRE GRAVER DANS LE LAYER0 DU DVD DOUBLE COUCHE,ET LE LAYER1.ISO DANS LE LAYER1

 

si vous ne voulez PAS que le LAYER1.ISO finisse dédoublé sur deux couches.Cette image du LAYER1.ISO devrait etre a 100% sur la première couche ...Je n'ai pas encore gravé de dvd DL,donc je ne peut pas vous dire comment faire!!!

 

 

N' ESSAYEZ PAS D' APPLIQUER CE PATCH PAR DESSUS UN CORE.GT4.ELF QUI A DEJA ETE PATCHE AVEC core.gt4.ppf

 

si vous avez déja patché core.gt4.ppf avec le core.gt4.ppf original du HDD kit, supprimez le core.gt4.ppf de votre disque dur , et réextraire le CORE.GT4 de votre ISO, et refaites les précedents point..!!

Ouais grave!Tout arrive d'un coup.Je pense que Sony(poliphony donc sony) pourra même se faire de l'argent grace à cette "découverte".La preuve,tous les retissants qui désirait l'acheter qu'une fois cette methode serait trouvée,vont pouvoir le faire(s'ils ont tjs l'argent).Sony devrait remercier toolboy !

 

Pour répondre a Ps2silver,je n'ai pa pu testé vu que je n'ai pas encore acheté le jeu.Moi je me suis juste tenu de traduire.

Also, I did make the fix so that DVDR+DL people can 

burn the "2-layer" image to a DL.....basically I 

changed the bit back that tells the code where to 

boot GT4L1.vol from...in the hdd kit this is changed 

to layer 0...

Also, the check is still removed that look for the 

"ptp" burn method, so it should work fine as long as 

you get that GT4L1.VOL file to burn completely to 

layer 1 (and not split across layer 0 and 1)...I 

remember some people discussing this before that you 

have to use a good burning program that will let you 

tell it where the layer split is, so that you only 

burn Layer 0 of the ISO to layer 0, and Layer 1 of 

the ISO to layer 1...

Attached in the GT4_DVD9 zip is the patch to apply 

to the original (unmodified) core.gt4.elf file 

(unpacked core.gt4)...do not apply this patch to a 

core.gt4.elf that you've already patched...make sure 

you apply it to a core.gt4.elf that you unpack from 

the ORIGINAL CORE.GT4 FROM THE ISO...

Be warned...I haven't officially tried a real DVD+R 

DL burn yet...I don't have any media, but I'm 

99.999% sure it should work fine...

desolé je ne compren rien a langlais jai fé une trduction jaicompris kil fallait gravé un fichier sur une couche et lotre sur une otre

et que dois je faire avec ces fichier:

core_dvd9_gt4.ppf

GT4_REAL_DVD9.iml

GT4_REAL_DVD9.ims

bon je me repette sa marchera pas avec la version pal c'est pour la version US c'est comme pour le patch HDD faud attendre le patche PAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
