romeo mode ps2 v9

bonjour je viens de mettre une puce modbo sur une ps2 v9 un peu galere car sur les plan il fallait pas mettre le point h mais finalement si (plan pris sur matrix infinity)

Par contre il me semble que sur la v9 les romeo mod est imperatif je recherche le plan poue la modif j'ai recupéré juste une phot mais on y voit pas grand chose. Si quelqu'un a un plan ou photo merci

Romeo laser fix is a lie and all it will give you is a slower read response on the lens, which translates on slower reading and more chances of mechacon (DVD drive CPU) crash. The only "benefit" you get with Romeo mod is that it takes *more time* for a mechacon crash result in burning the coils.

 

I'd tell you to AVOID doing Romeo mod in SLIM PS2 units as it has a inverse effect of overloading the 5v power rail and making portions of the PS2 power supply short circuit or break down.

 

Remember, the lower the voltage, the higher the current. That's physics.

 

I'd recommend people with V9s and V10s to scrap the modchips and use FCMB+ESR instead, if they insist on using DVDR on these units. Otherwise use OPL with SMB or ATA HDD. Keep the laser from burning by saving it.

Courant = tension / résistance.

 

Donc plus petite est la tension, plus petit sera le courant.

Sinon le but du romeo mod est de diminuer la tension d'alimentation du composant qui contrôle les bobines focus/tracking de la lentille. Ce qui limite les pics de tension. Donc faut lever une patte du composant LAXXXX pour la relier à une tension plus faible avec un fil.

Perso, je peux pas expliquer. Je me base uniquement sur la "réputation" de I_Oliveira - une vraie encyclopédie de la PS2 ce type, qui n'est vraiment pas la premier venu côté hardware... Si krHACKen passe par là, il pourra ptet expliquer.

je me souviens plus quel patte je dois relier et a quel point de la carte mere.

Si je me souviens bien il est alimenté en 5v et le but et de l'alimenter en 3v?

ok donc je dessoude la patte du LA6508 de la carte mere (3eme point en partant du bas) et je ressoude un fil de la pate du La6508 jusqu'au point 5v de la carte mere?
