Invité Invité Posté(e) le 10 avril 2004 Partager Posté(e) le 10 avril 2004 Boot Mode for F.14 F.14 has 3 Boot Modes: PS2, PSX/DVD Video Modes & Sleep Mode - For PS2 Games, use PS2 Mode (Default) - For PSX Games and DVD Videos, use PSX Mode. (Press and hold reset until blue light - release then tap again once) - For Online Games use Sleep Mode F.14 Specifications - PS2 Mode: Direct-boot ALL PS2 games including backups, imports, originals, silvers and DVD9. PS2 Logo removed offering a FASTER boot sequence never before reached. (NOTE: We've had many emails requesting that we keep the logo - so perhaps we will let the beta testers decide) - PSX Mode: Direct-boot PSX games including backups, imports, originals, silvers and most anti-mod games. - Sleep Mode: Allows you to play online games that detect modchips (non backups only) - Logistical Protection: 3.3v operation for stability and safe modification of the PS2. We've tested many types of media and games using the F.14 chip. DVD9 games boot flawlessly every time. To prove the stability, we perform a similar Gran Turismo Concept© (DVD9) test than DMS3 with the same results. GameShark/ActionReplay and Xploder/CodeBreaker also boot fine and can be used as normal. We also tried Kingdom Hearts NTSC/US, which is a problem game for Magic 3 and other clones, and it also worked without any problems whatsoever. Summary of Gaming Features (All no swap) PSX Originals PSX Imports PSX CD-R PS2 Originals PS2 Imports PS2 CD-R PS2 DVD-R PS2 DVD-9 Notes: Currently all PAL versions support (v3 v4 v5 v6 v7) No RGB Fix implemented yet No Macrovision Off Implemented yet No PSX NTSC full screen fix yet No Multi Region DVD Yet -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardware Overview Advanced auto bios check and self configuration for all regions of consoles*. The full range of PAL PS2 revisions are covered by one modchip. This is a totally safe design and does not go beyond the safe operational limits of the PS2 system voltages. We have achieved this through integration of an SMD power regulator IC. Unlike other designs we do not require 5v input or mixed voltage supply. The logical core of our device is supplied 2.5v at a stable rate from the regulator. Power supply is taken from the mainboard as 3.3v, which has been tested at a safe and constant level. PS2/PSX mode selection is simple and intuitive. See the overview picture. Pin marking incorporated on the PCB for easier identification. Multi-disc Game and DVD9 compatible. *The first F.14 Release will be PAL only as we have concentrated on this one region. However we do have an NTSC version currently with 16 wires. As soon as this is reduced it will be incorporated into the F.14 project. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's next ? We're currently working on including full NTSC support in to the F.14 architecture. It currently stands at 16 wires but we know what to do there. Also Multiregion DVD and more will be addressed in only 2 more wires. We can go much less than 14 wires. We know how to do it and what is required to achieve this. All we need is time and patience and a little skill from our dedicated team of engineers to solve the issue - then who knows what can be accomplished ? We read a comment on another mod site saying that they had put together the best team in the world to develop their chip and that they didn't use anyone else's code and they couldn't possibly be beaten. Well all we can say to that bold statement is that ALL the chips have used someone else's code since the very first chip, to say anything else is naive and an insult to the scene's intelligence. To say that you have the best of the best again isn't true, or you'd be working with much less than 23 wires. Finally to say your chip cannot be beaten, the only reply to that is GAME ON !
